Google Keep - A Tool For Task Management

We are in the process of experimenting a new system that will allow you, the customer, to share with us, Juanita’s, specific tasks or requests you might have on specific dates.  I want to remind you that this system is for current customers.  If you’re still not a current customer, but would like to be in order to take advantage of all the benefits our service offers - the most important one is being able to go home to a clean house - then, contact me to inquire about our cleaning services

With that being said, this is how the Google Keep app works.  Google Keep is a note-taking service developed by Google. It is available on the web and has mobile apps for Android and iOS (Apple).  Google Keep offers a variety of tools for taking notes including text, lists, images, and audio. A feature that we like about Google Keep is that it synchronizes your notes on every device where you have it.  What that means is that if you create your grocery list, for example, on your computer and then head off to the grocery store, you can see your grocery list on your phone (if you have the Google Keep app).

How did we come up with the idea?  Well, I have been using the Google Keep app for a couple of years now to write down notes and reminders.  Recently, I started using it with my kids. I can easily write them “task checklists” from my phone and “share” the checklist with them (more about “sharing” in a bit).  The moment I share the checklist with my kids, they (my kids) will get a notification on their phone. Another great thing about the app is that it syncs live; what this means is that the moment my kids check off a task they have completed, I can see it on my phone right away.  
Recently, I was having a conversation with a long-time customer, Randye, who suggested something similar.  (Thanks, Randye). So, that is what made me decide to give this system a try. If this sounds like something you’d like to experiment alongside Juanita’s, then follow the steps below.

​Step 1: Get Google Keep on your prefered device.  I will leave the links below:

Step 2: Open your Google Keep and create a note

• You can title your note the date of our next visit to your home.  Or, a future visit; a date that perhaps you would like us to focus on a particular area of your home
• You can create a checklist where you can write down specific tasks that you would like us to focus on on that particular date
  
  

Step 3: Add Collaborators

• This is where you share your note with us, Juanita’s.  Now you’re going to need an email address to be able to share it with us.  That email address is:

• The minute you share with me I will get a notification telling me about your recently-created note

Step 4:  I will confirm that I received the notification and that you can rest assured that we, Juanita’s, will look forward to checking off your request.
