Give The Gift of a Clean Home This Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day is upon us and with it the wonder of what to give our significant other - or a friend or relative - as a heart-warming gift.  In this blog post, we will give you tips that have to do with tidying up your home (or a friend's or relative's) as an expression of love.

Valentine's Day has, over the years, become a day where one has to open up our wallets in order to "show" our love.  We, at Juanita's House Cleaning, however, believe that there are other ways to demonstrate our love for our significant other, our friends, and family members.  And, that's by helping  out around the house - particularly tidying up or cleaning a specific area.  Now, don't get us wrong, we're not suggesting you clean the entire home!  But, just imagine the look on the  recipient's face when he or she sees the surprise gift you've prepared!

• The living room
  • The living room is often called the family room.  And, there's a good reason for it.  It's where memories are shared and created.  Nothing beats getting comfy with your significant other (or with your entire family) and enjoying a night of Netflix!  Check out these quick tips to make sure your living room is ready!
    • Quick vacuum of couch and cushions  
    • Fluffing of decorative pillows 
    • Vacuum carpet 
    • Dust/clean TV and furniture
• The kitchen
  • Whether you want to surprise your significant other by preparing a delicious meal or want to order delivery instead, having a clean kitchen is heart-melting.  If you are cooking on Valentine's Day or weekend, remember to clean up by following these easy cleaning tips!
    • Wash the dishes, pots, and pans and put them away 
    • Wipe down the kitchen counter-tops
    • Put away everything you used in its place
    • Sweep and mop (or vacuum)
• The office
  • Many homes now have a home office.  And, there's nothing better than working in a clean and tidy place; this can also mean working in an organized environment.  Make finding important documents easy for your loved one by following these organizing tips!
    • Arrange books on book shelve 
    • Stack loose sheets of paper in a neat pile
    • Dust and polish desk 
    • Sweep and mop (or vacuum)
