No.  We don't want you to work more than you have to.  We don't want you to clean your own home.  Let us take care of that.  But, in this blog post we'll present you with "3 Easy Cleaning Habits to Start Implementing" during our absence and until we go back to clean your house or so you can keep your home clean all by yourself.  Whichever is the case, we thank you for taking your time to read out blog post!

We believe there's a difference between cleaning your home and keeping your home clean.  We take care of both.  But, let us explain what we mean.

Usually cleaning a home implies that the home is dirty, dusty, or just in need of some elbow-grease cleaning.  Maintaining a home clean usually comes after having done a deep, thorough cleaning; and, all it means is regular intervals of cleaning - either by yourself or a professional cleaning company, like us.  In fact, that is one of the reasons why we, Juanita's House Cleaning, charges a bit more on our Initial Cleaning.  You can actually read more about that by clicking ... here.

So, having said that, here are 3 easy cleaning habits you can start working on and implementing so that you can keep your home clean all by yourself or while you wait for your cleaning team's next visit.

  • Cleaning Habit #1: The front door mat
    • No, we are not kidding.  Most, if not all traffic into your house, goes in through the front door.  By placing a mat at your front door you will automatically prevent a great percentage of dust and dirt getting into your home.  Now, there's a lot of options out there, but we recommend something like ... this; although, it's up to you.  The options are endless.  Just remember, that the one of the best ways to keep a home clean is by preventing dust and dirt to get inside in the first place.
  • Cleaning Habit #2: The shower squeegee
    • One of the most requested cleaning tasks we get asked for by current and new customers is: can you work on eliminating the soap buildup in my shower?  Our answer: yes.  It's going to take a few visits and the use of some somewhat-harsh chemicals, but it does come off.  Now, just as with habit #1, in order to combat soap buildup, it's all a matter of preventing it from happening to begin with.  How?  Well, we recommend you get into the habit of squeegeeing off your shower after every few uses - although, we do have customers who do it after every use.  There's nothing difficult about this and all it takes is seeing a squeegee in your shower (one like this will do) for you to start preventing all of that unwanted buildup.
  • Cleaning Habit #3: The clutter-free home
    • By this, we mean: try to keep surfaces free of "clutter".  Look, not only will this simple habit of keeping your floors, dressers, desks, etc clutter-free make you feel good, but it will also be better for your next cleaning visit; so, that way your cleaning team can actually focus on cleaning rather than picking up, sorting, and trying to organize everything.  Obviously, if you hire us we'll do our best to do both - pick up and clean, but we do know of other services that will not go into a home if the home is not picked up and free of clutter.  And, like we said, being in a clutter-free home just feels good all the time.

Well, that's it for today's blog post.  We truly hope you enjoyed today's post and let us know in the comments section if you have any other tips that might be useful to our readers.  We always enjoy your comments!
